GMWA has close relations with MWIA; German Medical Women’s Association- “Aerztinennbund”., “Soroptimists International of Europe “Tbilisi Club”

  • Two GMWA members attended the XXV Scientific Congress of “Aerztinennbund” Giessen, September 1999..

  • The President of GMWA Dr N. Zhvania attended workshop: “Gender Mainstreaming in Health and Health Care” carried out by MWIA.London 2002.
    She prepared the same training in Georgian Language and carried out it in Tbilisi.


  • Twelve members of GMWA participated in the XXVI International Congress of MWIA At this Congress the President of GMWA Dr. N. Zhvania was elected at the post of Vice President of Central European Region and the Board member of MWIA. Tokyo, August, 2004.

     
  • Five members of GMWA participated in 29 th Congress of German Medical Women’s Association “Aerztinennbund” Berlin September , 2005.
  • Two members of GMWA participated in the XXVII International Congress of MWIA in Accra.
  • Fifteen GMWA members participated in Southern European Regional Congress of MWIA Rome November 2007.
  • The President of GMWA N. Zhvania represented MWIA at the 58th Session of WHO for Europe, Tbilisi September 2008.
  • GMWA members hosted the ExCo meeting of MWIA Tbilisi 18-19 May 2006.
  • GMWA performed the Central European Regional Congress of Medical Women’s International Association “Women Always Yang and Healthy”.
  • The Congress was attended by the President; President-Elect; Past President; Treasurer; Secretary- General; Regional Vice Presidents of MWIA, members of German and Swedish Medical Women’s Associations. In Congress work despite of bargain doctors participated 17 foreign doctors from 9 countries. Tbilisi. 20-21 May 2006
